# An expected meeting isn't showing in the Meeting widget

You're trying to attach an existing meeting to your room via the **Meeting** widget, but it isn't showing in the picker — or a previously attached meeting now shows an empty state.

> **Reminder: the Meeting widget isn't a booking widget.** It doesn't let buyers pick time slots. It attaches a meeting that already exists in your calendar (past or upcoming) and surfaces its recording, AI summary, and transcript. For the product docs, see [Meeting widget](https://katalyz.crisp.help/en/article/meeting-widget-1dahrv9/).

## Step 1 — Check your calendar is connected

The Meeting widget can't surface a meeting if your mailbox isn't connected to Katalyz at the user level:

1. Open **your profile → Connected emails**.
2. Verify your Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account shows **Connected**.
3. If it shows **Disconnected** or errored, reconnect it.

Until this connection is healthy, the picker stays empty even if the meeting exists in your calendar.

## Step 2 — Confirm the meeting exists (and you're on it)

- Open your calendar (Google or Outlook) and confirm the meeting is there in the date range you're searching.
- You must be **organizer or invitee** — Katalyz only sees events from your own mailbox.
- Events on shared calendars that aren't attached to your mailbox (e.g. an external team calendar) won't appear.

## Step 3 — Use the right tab (Past / Upcoming)

The picker has two tabs:
- **Upcoming** — future meetings (for prepping context ahead of the call)
- **Past** — meetings that already happened (for pulling in recording and summary after the call)

If you're looking for a meeting from two days ago in the **Upcoming** tab, you won't see it.

## Step 4 — Narrow with search

If you have a lot of meetings, use the picker's **search** (filter by title or participant) rather than scrolling. The **Suggested meetings** at the top are ones whose participants overlap with the room's participants.

## Step 5 — The meeting was deleted or cancelled

If a **previously attached** meeting suddenly shows an empty state or an error, the meeting was probably deleted or cancelled in the calendar.

- Reopen the picker (settings icon on the widget) and attach another one.

## Step 6 — Recording or summary isn't arriving

If the meeting is attached but the recording / AI summary isn't showing:

- The meeting just happened — the transcription / AI pipeline usually finishes within ~30 min. Wait.
- The meeting hasn't happened yet — the recording will populate after.
- The meeting was too short (< 2 minutes) or the bot couldn't join — see [Recording widget](https://katalyz.crisp.help/en/article/recording-widget-1wz74ec/).

## Step 7 — Sync delay

A meeting just created in the calendar can take 1–5 minutes to appear in the picker. Wait a few minutes and reopen the picker.

## Still stuck?

Contact **contact@katalyz.co** with:
- Room URL
- Email of the connected calendar account
- Title and date of the meeting you're trying to attach
- Screenshot of the picker (so we can see what you're seeing)
