# Booking a meeting

Katalyz doesn't have a built-in booking widget — there's no embedded slot picker where you'd pick a time from a grid of availabilities. Instead, booking happens from a person's **contact card** on the seller's team — when that person has set up a **booking link** in their profile.

> The Meeting widget itself is for attaching an **existing** calendar meeting (past or upcoming) to pull in its recording, AI summary, and transcript. It isn't a scheduling tool.

## How it works

1. Look for a **contact card** or **Contact widget** in the room — typically in a *"Your team"*, *"Next steps"*, or footer section.
2. If the person has added a booking link (e.g. Cal.com, Calendly, HubSpot Meetings, etc.) to their profile, a **Book** button (or equivalent) appears on their card.
3. Click it — their external booking tool opens in a new tab.
4. Pick your slot directly with their provider; you get the calendar invite by email as usual.

## If you don't see a Book button

Two possible reasons:

- **The person hasn't (yet) added a booking link** to their Katalyz profile. You see the contact, but no shortcut to book.
- **There's no Contact widget in the room.** The sender may not have added one.

In either case, the simplest move is to **reply to your contact by email** to find a time, or ask them to add a booking link to their card.

## Reschedule or cancel

The meeting lives in the external booking tool (Cal.com, Calendly, etc.) and on your calendar. To change it:

- **Use the link in the calendar invite** you received — most tools let you reschedule or cancel from that link.
- **Or respond to the invite from Google Calendar / Outlook** with "Propose new time".
