# Connecting Modjo

Modjo is a conversational intelligence platform. Connecting Modjo lets you pull in Modjo-recorded calls and insights into Katalyz rooms.

> ⚠️ Requires org role **Admin**. Requires an active Modjo account.

## Connection procedure

The connection happens in two stages: set things up on the Modjo side (API + webhook), then enter the values on the Katalyz side.

### 1. On the Modjo side

1. **Enable the videoconferencing provider** your customer uses (Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
2. Turn on the **Public API** option, then **generate an API key dedicated to Katalyz** (name it "Katalyz" so it's easy to find later) — **note the key**.
3. Turn on **Webhooks**, then **create a webhook** — **note the webhook secret**.

For this step, you'll need the **Webhook URL** shown in Katalyz when you start setting up Modjo (the "Connect Modjo" popup). For reference, the URL follows the pattern `https://api.katalyz.co/modjo/webhook/<TENANT>`.

### 2. On the Katalyz side

In **Settings → Integrations** → **Modjo** → **Connect**, in the "Connect Modjo" popup:

1. Enter the **API Key** generated in Modjo.
2. Enter the **Webhook secret** generated in Modjo.
3. **Webhook URL** — Katalyz already shows it; copy it so you can paste it as the webhook URL on the Modjo side if you haven't already.
4. Click **Connect Modjo**.

### 3. User-level connection — Google or Microsoft

The Modjo integration works **alongside the calendar integration**. For each user to retrieve their own Modjo calls in Katalyz, they need to have connected their calendar account:

- Each user opens **their profile** and clicks **Sign in with Google** or **Sign in with Microsoft**, depending on which provider an admin enabled at the workspace level.
- Without this user-level connection, that user's Modjo calls won't surface in Katalyz, even if the org-level Modjo integration is healthy.

## What happens once connected

Once the webhook is live and the user is signed in to their calendar, Katalyz receives each new Modjo-summarized call in real time and can surface it in the Recording widget picker.

## What syncs from Modjo

What Katalyz pulls in are the **call summaries** produced in Modjo — not the raw video recording or the full transcript. Those summaries can have been generated **automatically** by Modjo or written **manually** by the user inside Modjo; both surface the same way in Katalyz, as soon as they exist on the Modjo side.

## Embedding a Modjo recording in a room

Use the **Recording widget** and choose Modjo as the source. Pick a specific call from your Modjo library.
