# Duplicating a room

Duplicating an existing room is useful when a specific deal is a close analog of a new one — same structure, similar pricing, similar pitch.

## Duplicate a room

1. Open the room you want to duplicate.
2. Click the room menu (three dots, top-left).
3. Select **Duplicate**.
4. Optionally rename the copy.
5. Click **Create**.

A new room is created as a full copy, with you as Owner.

## What's copied

- Every section and its order
- All widgets in every section
- Branding (workspace default unless the original had overrides)
- Section visibility settings (hidden stays hidden)

## What's NOT copied

- **Participants** (you start with just yourself as Owner)
- **Activity history** (fresh slate)
- **Comments & mentions**
- **Tasks and subtasks** (structure may carry over; assignees and completion state reset)
- **In-flight signatures**
- **CRM sync links**

## Duplicate vs. template

| **Workflow** | Save → then create rooms from it | One-click copy |

## Who can duplicate

- **Admins** — can duplicate any room in the workspace
- **Pros** — can duplicate rooms they have Owner or Editor role in
- **Basic** — cannot duplicate
