# Katalyz Enrichment

**Katalyz Enrichment** auto-fills contact and company data from the web — email addresses, phone numbers, job titles, LinkedIn URLs, company details. Stop Googling; start selling.

> ✅ **Included in the Core plan.** Each lookup uses **credits** from your workspace balance — see [How credits work](https://katalyz.crisp.help/en/article/how-credits-work-1rardw9/).

## What it enriches

### Contacts
Given a name + company (or just a LinkedIn URL), enrichment returns:
- **Email** (personal or work)
- **Phone number**
- **Job title**
- **LinkedIn URL**
- **Twitter handle**
- **Location**

### Companies
Given a domain or company name, enrichment returns:
- **Industry**
- **Headcount range**
- **Location**
- **Tech stack**
- **Recent funding**
- **Key executives**

## How it works

Whenever you add a contact to a room (manually or via CRM sync), you can trigger enrichment. Two ways:

### Automatic (on contact creation)
Toggle **Auto-enrich new contacts** in **Settings → Enrichment**. New contacts added to any room trigger an automatic lookup. Missing fields get filled.

### Manual (on-demand)
In a room, on any contact card, click **Enrich** to run an on-demand lookup.

## Credits

Each lookup draws on your workspace's credit balance, and the cost depends on what's returned — an email, a phone number, or a company record. Enriching a contact that returns both an email and a phone costs more than one that returns an email alone.

For the current rates, see **Settings → Workspace → Plan & Billing → AI Credits**, or ask your account manager.

## When enrichment can't find data

If no data is found for a contact (obscure person, no public LinkedIn, etc.), we generally don't charge credits — but this depends on the lookup provider's behavior. Check your credit history for specific cases.

## Data sources

Enrichment pulls from a mix of:
- **Public LinkedIn** data
- **Public company databases**
- **Third-party enrichment partners**

We do not access private social networks or scrape non-public data.

## Privacy & compliance

- Enriched data is stored in Katalyz against the contact record
- Contacts can request removal of their data via GDPR — contact **privacy@katalyz.co**
- Your outbound messaging still needs to comply with consent rules (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.) — enrichment gives you data, not permission

## Using enriched data in rooms

Once a contact is enriched, their data powers:

- **Contact widgets** — automatically show the enriched photo, title, LinkedIn
- **Variables in text** — use enriched fields as `$` variables in text widgets to personalize copy with the buyer's name, company, and details
- **CRM sync** — enriched data flows back to HubSpot / Salesforce

## Bulk enrichment

For large lead lists, contact **contact@katalyz.co** — we can run bulk enrichment offline at volume pricing.
