# Katalyz Signature

**Katalyz Signature** embeds legally binding electronic signatures directly in your rooms. No DocuSign roundtrip, no PDF attachments — sign where the deal happens.

> ⚠️ **Paid module — €20 per user per month**, on top of the Core plan. Per seat, never discounted. Envelopes do **not** use credits.

## What you can do

- **Embed a signature widget in any room** — right next to the pricing, the proposal, the CTAs
- **Send envelopes to multiple signers** — sequential or parallel routing
- **Collect signatures legally bound** — compliant with major e-signature frameworks
- **Track status inline** — see who viewed, who signed, who's stuck
- **Auto-deliver the sealed PDF** — to all signers, approvers, and CCs once completed

For a deep-dive on everything signature-related, see the full [Signatures](https://katalyz.crisp.help/en/article/adding-a-signature-block-to-a-room-u85qg0/) category.

## Pricing

- Katalyz Signature is billed **per user per month (€20)**, for every user on your plan.
- There is **no per-envelope cost** and no credit deduction — send as many envelopes as you need.
- To add the module, go to **Settings → Workspace → Plan & Billing → Modules** and click **Request to add**; it's added to your contract by our team.

## Legal validity

Katalyz signatures are electronic signatures suitable for most commercial contracts. Documents (PDF or Word) are cryptographically sealed — any modification invalidates the seal and is detectable by any PDF reader.

For specific framework compliance details (SOC 2 / GDPR / HIPAA / regional regulations) and deeper legal context, see [Legal validity of Katalyz signatures](https://katalyz.crisp.help/en/article/legal-validity-of-katalyz-signatures-133h7gd/).

## Authentication methods

Each recipient authenticates before signing. Four methods are supported:

- **Email Link** (default) — one-click from the invitation email
- **Email Code** — 9-digit code emailed to the recipient
- **Custom** — the room's magic-link session authenticates them
- **Multiple** — combine methods for higher-assurance scenarios

## Field types

A signature envelope can contain:
- **Signature** fields
- **Initials** fields (can span all pages)
- **Date** fields (auto-filled)
- **Text input** fields (editable)
- **Annotation** (creator-only, static text)

## Audit trail

Every envelope produces:
- A tamper-evident, cryptographically sealed final PDF
- A timestamped record of every event (viewed, signed, declined, cancelled)
- Retention for the lifetime of your Katalyz account

## Common use cases

- **Sales contracts** — MSA, order forms, pricing agreements
- **NDAs** — before sharing sensitive information
- **Change orders** — signed amendments to existing deals
- **Internal approvals** — routing for sign-off before sending externally
- **Onboarding agreements** — customer onboarding documents
