# Meeting widget

The **Meeting** widget attaches a **calendar meeting** (past or upcoming) to the room and brings its **recording**, **AI summary**, and **transcript** along with it. Perfect for wrapping up a discovery call inside the deal room, or prepping context for the next meeting.

> **Not a booking widget.** It doesn't let buyers pick time slots. It pulls existing meetings from your connected calendar.

## How to add

1. On the **floating build bar** at the bottom of the editor, locate the widget — in the primary widgets row, or under the **⌄ All widgets** popover if it's not there.
2. Drag the **Meeting** widget onto the target section.
3. The **calendar picker** opens (titled **From Google Calendar** or **From Microsoft / Outlook** depending on which calendar you've connected) — pick a meeting.

## The selection pill — Meeting controls

Click the meeting card to select it. Left to right:

1. **🌙 Dark mode** — flips the card surface to a dark treatment.
2. **Edit resource** (sliders icon) — reopens the calendar picker to swap the attached meeting.
3. **Design** (paintbrush icon) — opens the contextual Design panel.
4. **⋮ More** — Edit resource (same as the sliders icon) · **Duplicate** · **Delete**.

> ⚠️ **Temporary state:** the Edit resource (sliders) chip is currently missing from the pill — a known bug we're fixing. In the meantime, the same action is exposed as a gear icon directly on the meeting card. Once the bug is fixed, the gear goes away and the sliders chip on the pill becomes the canonical entry point.

## The picker — finding your meeting

The picker has:

- **Past / Upcoming** tabs — switch based on whether you want to attach a meeting that already happened (for recording/summary) or one scheduled ahead (for prepping context)
- **Search box** — filter by meeting title or participant
- **Suggested meetings** — top section. These are meetings that are relevant to the current room — typically ones whose participants overlap with the room's participants. Click one to attach it in a single step.
- **All meetings** — the full list, newest first

Pick a meeting and it's attached to the widget.

> **Requires calendar integration.** Connect your **Google Calendar** or **Microsoft / Outlook** calendar in your profile first — see [Connecting your email](https://katalyz.crisp.help/en/article/connecting-your-email-2xk90j/).
>
> **Don't see the connect option?** The integration must first be **enabled at the org level by an Admin**. Ask your Katalyz admin to turn on Google Calendar and/or Microsoft/Outlook in the workspace integrations settings, then reconnect from your profile.

## What the attached meeting shows

Clicking the widget opens a popup with **four tabs** — all the meeting content lives here:

### Recording tab
- Inline **video player** for the meeting recording
- **Copy link** — copy a URL to embed this recording in another overview (or share it)

### AI summary tab
- **AI-generated summary** of the call — key points, decisions, next steps (structure may vary by meeting)
- **Copy** — copy the summary as text
- **Edit** — edit the summary inline (useful to correct or trim)
- Timestamp of the last edit is shown

### Transcript tab
- **Full meeting transcript** with timestamps and speaker labels
- **Copy transcript** — copy the whole thing to paste elsewhere

### Details tab
- **Time** — meeting date + time window
- **Location** — meeting link or "N/A"
- **Description** — the calendar event description
- **Guests** — attendees with their avatars and emails

## Where recordings / summaries / transcripts come from

Recording source depends on your integrations:

- **Native Katalyz recorder** — if you use the Katalyz notetaker, recording/transcript are fetched automatically. **Generating the AI summary costs 1 credit** (see [How credits work](→ 07-plans-billing/03-add-on-modules/02-how-credits-work)).
- **Third-party integrations** — tools like **Gong**, **Modjo**, **Claap** (and others) can feed their recordings/transcripts into Katalyz. See [Meeting intelligence integrations](https://katalyz.crisp.help/en/article/embedding-meeting-recordings-in-rooms-ozkfd4/).

If a meeting has no recording or transcript yet (e.g. you attached an upcoming meeting), those tabs show an empty state until the content is generated.

## Replacing or detaching

To swap the attached meeting for another one, use the widget's settings to reopen the picker and pick a different meeting. Your widget's design settings stay intact.

## Best use cases

- **Post-call debrief** — attach the call's recording and summary right below your meeting notes in the room
- **Prep for the next meeting** — attach the upcoming calendar event so everyone sees the agenda in-context
- **Key reference moments** — pin the strategic call (executive alignment, demo deep-dive) as part of the deal narrative
- **Handoff** — when the deal moves from sales to implementation, the meetings are already embedded as context
