# Navigating a room

A Katalyz room is a website. Navigate it like you'd navigate any other site — but with a few helpful touches.

## The room layout

- **Header** — the main navigation between **pages** (click a page name to jump to it)
- **Left sidebar** — a nav tree of pages with **sections** nested under each page
- **Main area** — the currently selected page's content
- **Top bar** — room title, search (if enabled), and your access status

## Moving between pages

Click any page in the **header** to jump to it — that's the fastest way. You can also use the **left sidebar** for a nested overview that includes sections under each page. Your place is saved — if you leave and come back, you land where you were.

Pages often include:
- **Overview** — intro to what the room covers
- **Solution / Product** — the core pitch or offering
- **Pricing** — commercial terms
- **Contract** — legal documents, often with a signature widget
- **Next steps** — tasks, timelines, calls to action

Your sender may have renamed these or added others.

## Navigating within a page

Each page is made of one or more **sections** (visual groupings). Scroll normally — widgets (text, videos, CTAs, forms) stack vertically inside sections.

In the sidebar, you'll see sections listed under their parent page. Click any section name to jump directly to it.

## Sidebar collapse

On smaller screens or by preference, the sidebar can be collapsed. Click the ≡ icon at the top to toggle.

## Keyboard navigation

- **Arrow keys** — scroll
- **Tab** — move between interactive elements (buttons, inputs)
- **Enter** — activate the focused element
- **Esc** — close popovers, modals, comment threads

## The search bar (if available)

Some rooms expose a search bar in the top bar. Use it to find specific content across all pages — useful when the room has a lot of material.

## Dark mode / light mode

Rooms respect your system setting (OS-level dark/light preference). If the room looks too dark or too light, you can usually adjust via your browser or OS settings — Katalyz follows along.

## Moving through long content on mobile

Rooms are mobile-responsive. Pages become a dropdown at the top, and content reflows for smaller screens. For the best experience:

- **Desktop or tablet** for reading and reviewing content
- **Mobile** for signing documents and booking meetings (quick, focused tasks)
