# Slack notifications — what you'll receive

Once Slack is connected, you can route Katalyz events to Slack. Here's everything you can get.

## Event types that can fire Slack notifications

### Room activity
- User joined a room
- User invited others
- User added a section
- User logged in

### Invitations
- Buyer opened invitation email

### Comments & mentions
- You were mentioned
- Comment on a step or task you're assigned
- Comment in a room you own

### Tasks & steps
- Step / task completed
- You were assigned to a step / task

### Due dates
- Due date added, edited, or passed

### Activity
- Someone viewed a step's / task's details
- Someone added, viewed, or viewed-your resource

## Where notifications go

Slack notifications come from the **Katalyz bot** as direct messages. There's no channel-vs-DM choice per event type — everything is delivered to you via DM from the bot.

## Frequency

Notification frequency is per-user (**Settings → Notifications**):
- **Instantly** — each event posts as it happens
- **Daily** — one grouped message at the end of the day
- **Never** — no Slack notifications sent
