Glossary

A quick reference to every Katalyz-specific term. If you see a word in the docs or the product and aren't sure what it means, this is where to check.

Access settings — How a buyer proves they're allowed to open a room. Three options: Anyone with the link, Only authorized users, Magic access code. See Choosing the right access settings.

Activity — The log of every visit, click, and interaction in a room. Available per-room and across your dashboard.

Module — An optional capability added to the Core plan and billed per user per month: Katalyz Recording (€25) and Katalyz Signature (€20). AI and enrichment are not modules — they're included in Core. See Credits & add-on modules at a glance.

Admin — The org role with full control of your Katalyz workspace. Admins can see and edit every room, manage members, change settings, and manage integrations.

Ask AI — The Katalyz assistant. Opens from the round launcher bottom-right of every page, or from the Ask AI about this chip on a selected section or block. Free to use.

Anchor code — In a Word (.docx) signature document, a token such as [[sig_c92fbbdf]] — generated by Katalyz, copied from the screen — typed where a signature, date or initials field should land. Used because Word files re-flow when variables merge.

Core — Katalyz's single plan: €90 per user per month at list price, lower with a 24- or 36-month commitment. Includes everything except the two paid modules.

Commitment scale — The only discount on Core: the longer the term (12, 24, 36 months) and paying annually upfront, the lower the per-user price. Public and identical for everyone.

Enterprise — A custom contract for teams above 30 users: a flat annual amount not tied to seats.

Extraction hint — One line on a room field or custom property telling the AI what to look for when auto-filling it from a recording. Required the first time someone runs an AI update on that field.

Home — The first page in the sidebar: a daily briefing with the AI composer, four quick flows (create a room, what needs my attention, summarize today's meetings, draft a follow-up), suggestions, meetings, actions and messages.

Model quality — The level an AI generation runs at: Fast (3 credits), Balanced (5, default) or Maximum (10). Chosen per generation, never as a workspace setting.

Signature template — A reusable signature envelope with roles (Customer signatory, Approver…) instead of people, plus variables filled from the CRM or the room. Roles are matched to people each time the template is used.

Suggestion — A change the AI proposes for a room (update a block, rewrite a section, add a section). Reviewed in the Ask AI panel or on Home; accepted, edited or discarded — never applied on its own.

Basic — An org role that can only access rooms they've explicitly been invited to. Cannot create new rooms.

Block — Another name for a widget: one piece of content inside a section. The editor's build bar shows the most common ones (text, image, video, document…) in its first row and the rest under More.

Buyer (guest buyer) — Someone outside your company who accesses a Katalyz room. Buyers don't have accounts and no dashboard — they access a specific room only, via magic link.

Content library — A shared pool of reusable files, links, and media available to everyone in your workspace.

Credit — The usage unit for AI generation and enrichment. The Core plan includes 150 credits per user per month, pooled across the workspace. Spent only when the AI generates something (a room, a template, a draft, a summary); chatting with Ask AI and reviewing suggestions are free.

Dashboard — The Rooms page: the list of every room you have access to, with KPI cards. Distinct from Home, the AI briefing page.

Editor — A room role that can read, comment, and edit content in the room.

Integration — A connection between Katalyz and another tool (HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, calendars, enrichment, meeting recorders).

Katalyz Enrichment — Contact and company enrichment from the web. Included in Core; each lookup uses credits.

Katalyz AI — The assistant built into Katalyz: Ask AI, AI room and template generation, suggestions, executive summaries, health scores, recommended actions, auto-fill from recordings, and the Home page flows. Included in Core.

Katalyz Recording — Paid module (€25/user/month): Katalyz's own notetaker records and transcribes your meetings and attaches them to the right deal.

Katalyz Signature — Paid module (€20/user/month) for legally binding electronic signatures inside rooms. No per-envelope cost.

Access code — A 6-digit code sent by email for access verification. Used in the Access code verification access setting.

Magic link — A unique, one-time-use URL that logs you in without a password. How all Katalyz authentication works.

Member — Someone at your company with a Katalyz account. Counts against your seat quota.

Org role — A workspace-level permission level. Three options: Admin, Pro, Basic. Distinct from room role.

Owner — A room role with full control of the room, including deleting it, managing participants, changing access settings, etc. Unique per room — each room has exactly one Owner (the creator by default), and ownership can be transferred but not invited into.

Page — A top-level container inside a room. Pages are the centerpiece of navigation — displayed in the room's header and in the left-sidebar nav tree. Each page holds sections and widgets.

Placeholder — A widget that shows a visible "add X here" slot in a room — for content that's coming later (a video, a document, a contact).

Variables — Dynamic values inserted into Text widgets. Type $ to pick a built-in field (room name, owner) or a custom field. Variables are replaced with actual values when the room renders.

Pro — An org role that can create rooms and access rooms they're invited to.

Room — A branded web space dedicated to a specific deal or project. Can contain one or multiple pages. The heart of Katalyz.

Room role — A room-level permission. Four options: Owner, Editor, Commenter, Viewer. Distinct from org role.

Section — A part of a page containing widgets. Sections can be saved as micro-templates and inserted from the left sidebar into any room.

Template — A pre-built room you can reuse. Stores structure, widgets, and branding.

Viewer — A room role that can read and comment in a room, but not edit content.

Widget — A unit of content inside a section (text, video, CTA, signature, action plan, contact…). Also called a block.

Workspace — Your company's Katalyz account. Most organizations have one.
