What is a widget?
A widget is a building block of content inside a room. Text, images, videos, CTAs, signatures, meetings — each is a widget.

Why widgets (and not just text)?
You could build a proposal with just text and images, like a Google Doc. But then you'd lose:
- Embedded CTAs that your buyer clicks to move forward
- Inline meeting bookings tied to your calendar
- Legally binding signatures captured in the same place
- Dynamic personalization that adapts to who's viewing
- Meeting recordings with transcripts, embedded inline
- Brand-consistent design without a designer
Widgets give you all of that — ready out of the box, styled with your branding, no code.

Adding a widget
Two ways, depending on where you want to add the widget:
On a page (or in an action details sidepanel) — drag & drop
- Open the floating build bar at the bottom of the editor.
- Drag the widget you want.
- Drop it onto the target page (or into an action details sidepanel).
- Fill in the content.
In an action details sidepanel — the + button
Inside an action details sidepanel, you can also use the big [+] button at the bottom right — it opens a popover with the widget picker.
Once added, widgets can be reordered, duplicated, deleted, and hidden — just like any widget.
Can I design my own widget?
Not today. The widget catalog is curated — we add new widgets based on customer demand. Suggestions are welcome: email contact@katalyz.co or chat with support.
