Deleting a room
Room deletion is permanent — there is no recovery once a room is deleted. This article explains who can delete, how it works (single + bulk), and what's affected.
Who can delete
Deleting a room requires being an org member with the right combination of org and room role:
- Org role: Admin can delete any room in the workspace, regardless of room role. Pro and Basic can only delete rooms where they also have a delete-capable room role.
- Room role: Owner. Editors and Viewers cannot delete a room they're a member of.
(External participants — sometimes called "buyers" — are not org members and have no delete capability.)
Before deleting, consider the alternative
Deletion is irreversible. If you only want to take the room out of your active pipeline, change the stage to a closed/archived value instead — see [Changing a room's stage](→ 02-rooms/12-managing-rooms/01-changing-stage). The room and all its data stay in your workspace; it just leaves your active filters.
Use deletion when:
- The room contains data you don't want to retain
- You're cleaning up test or mistakenly created rooms
- Legal / compliance reasons require purging
Delete a single room
- Open the room.
- Open the room menu in the top left.
- Select Delete room.
- Confirm in the dialog.
Delete several rooms at once
From the Rooms list (org-level dashboard):
- Tick the checkbox next to each room you want to delete.
- The action bar appears at the bottom showing N selected.
- Click Remove.
- Confirm.

Note: in the bulk action bar, the action is labelled Remove rather than Delete — same effect, the rooms are deleted permanently.
What deletion removes
- All sections and widgets
- All comments, messages, mentions
- All tasks (assigned and completed)
- Activity history within the room
- Participant access (immediate)
- The link between the room and any CRM record (the CRM record itself is not deleted, just unlinked)
What deletion doesn't affect
- Signed documents — kept in the Signatures area independently, for legal retention
- Templates created from this room — those are separate copies and remain
- Other rooms that used the same library assets
- Workspace audit logs — retained per our compliance policy
