Troubleshooting sync issues
Integrations occasionally stop syncing — OAuth tokens expire, external systems change, network glitches happen. Here's the general playbook.
Step 1 — Check integration status
Settings → Integrations — look for the integration. Status should show Connected.
If it shows Disconnected, Error, or Needs re-authentication — reconnect.
Step 2 — Check specific integration pages
Only HubSpot and Salesforce have a dedicated settings page, which appears in the left sidebar of Settings once the integration is enabled:
- Settings → HubSpot — synced fields, activity toggles, task sync
- Settings → Salesforce — same structure (synced fields, activities), with the one difference that there's no "Import from CRM" action
These pages sometimes surface specific errors (broken mapping, CRM-side authorization error, etc.) that aren't visible on the integrations list.
For every other integration (Google, Microsoft, Slack, Modjo, Gong, Claap, etc.), there's no dedicated page — status and the Disconnect button live in Settings → Integrations only.
Step 3 — Check permissions on the external side
OAuth tokens can become invalid if:
- The user who authorized lost the necessary permissions
- The external tool revoked the token (rare, usually due to inactivity)
- An admin at the external tool restricted the app
Verify the authorizing user still has access.
Step 4 — Reconnect
The simplest fix for any persistent issue:
- Disconnect the integration
- Wait a minute
- Connect again
- Re-authenticate
⚠️ For integrations with field mappings (HubSpot), verify mappings after reconnecting — sometimes they need to be re-established.
Step 5 — Integration-specific troubleshooting
For specific integrations, see:
- CRM isn't syncing
- An expected meeting isn't showing in the Meeting widget
- Slack notifications are silent
Step 6 — Contact support
If issues persist after reconnecting:
Email contact@katalyz.co with:
- Which integration
- What's expected vs what's happening
- Approximate time issue started
- What you've tried
We can check sync logs on our side.
