Quieting Slack alerts

Katalyz can notify you about a lot. If Slack is getting too noisy, here's how to turn down the volume.

Turn off specific notification types

Go to Settings → Notifications.

Every event sits in a table with three checkbox columns — App, Email and Slack. Uncheck the Slack box for anything you don't need there, and keep App or Email ticked if you still want to know.

High-signal / keep on:

Someone mentioned you
A task to which you are assigned turned late
Someone opened your invitation email
A step / task was marked as completed

Low-signal / consider turning off:

Someone logged into your dealroom
Comment in your dealroom (mention-only is usually enough)
Someone viewed the details of a step in a dealroom you own

Use digest mode

Switch the Slack frequency from Instantly to Daily digest — you'll get one grouped message instead of a continuous stream.

The only two frequencies are Instantly and Daily digest — there's no hourly digest and no "Never". Silence Slack completely with the channel's on/off toggle instead.

The dropdown sits on the Slack channel card at the top of Settings → Notifications.

Mute the Katalyz bot in Slack

Katalyz posts as direct messages from the Katalyz bot, not into a channel. To quiet it from Slack's side, mute that DM conversation — right-click it in the sidebar and choose Mute conversation.

Tune which events trigger a notification

Katalyz Slack notifications are delivered as direct messages from the Katalyz bot — there's no team-channel routing. Quieting happens per user, in the Notifications panel of your profile. Each event type has its own toggle, so you can keep the signal you care about and silence the rest.

Disconnect Slack entirely

If Slack notifications aren't worth the noise for you, the cleanest move is to rely on Katalyz in-app + email instead:

Settings → Notifications → switch the Slack channel toggle off

You keep the Slack integration connected (for future use) but suppress all Slack notifications.
