Connecting Google Workspace
The Google Workspace integration unlocks calendar availability for Meeting widgets, email threading, and (on Premium plans) meeting recording via the Katalyz notetaker.
⚠️ Workspace-level connection requires org role Admin. Individual users connect their own Google accounts in Settings → Profile → Connected emails.
Two levels of connection
Workspace-wide (Admin) — required first
The org-level connection must be enabled first. Until an Admin does this, individual users can't connect their own accounts.
- Settings → Integrations → Google Workspace → Connect
- Admin authorizes the app for the whole Google Workspace domain
- Once enabled, individual users can connect their personal accounts
Per-user (each team member)
After the org-level connection is in place, each team member signs in with their own Google account via OAuth (in Settings → Profile → Connected emails) to authorize calendar + email access for themselves. See Connecting your email.
What Katalyz accesses
The Google OAuth screen lists the exact scopes Katalyz requests:

| Manage the user's calendars (create / update meetings linked from Katalyz). |

Troubleshooting
- "Authentication failed" — Your org's Google admin may block third-party apps. Ask them to allow-list Katalyz.
- "No calendar availability showing" — Confirm correct calendar is selected; check privacy settings on events.
- "Emails not threading" — Email integration pulls only messages involving room participants. Isolated emails won't link.
