Connecting your email
Connecting your personal email (Google or Microsoft 365) lets Katalyz handle scheduling, calendar sync, and email threading directly from your account.
⚠️ Only available if your workspace is on the Premium plan and your admin has enabled the relevant email integration. See [Standard vs Premium](→ 07-plans-billing/01-plans/01-standard-vs-premium).
What gets connected
When you link your email (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365):
- Your calendar becomes available for the Meeting widget — buyers book directly against your real availability
- Your emails can be threaded inside rooms — relevant buyer emails appear in the activity feed
- Katalyz Recording can join meetings scheduled in your calendar
- Outgoing Katalyz notifications can use your domain for branded sending (with admin setup — see Dedicated email subdomain)
Connect your email
- Go to Settings → Profile.
- Scroll to the Connected emails section.
- Click Connect Google or Connect Microsoft 365 (whichever your workspace uses).
- Authenticate with your account.
- Grant the requested permissions (read calendar, read emails, create events).
- Connection is established immediately.

What Katalyz can and can't see
We're conservative with permissions. We only access what's needed:
- Calendar: read availability, create events (when you book meetings from Katalyz)
- Emails: search threads by recipient (to match buyer communications with rooms)
- We don't: read your entire inbox, modify or delete anything, or train models on your data
Disconnecting
- Go to Settings → Profile → Connected emails.
- Click Disconnect next to the account.
- Confirm.
Disconnecting:
- Removes Katalyz's access to your calendar and email
- Breaks the Meeting widget's availability sync for your calendar
- Stops meeting recording (if enabled)
- Doesn't delete any past data already in Katalyz
Multiple accounts
You can connect multiple email accounts (e.g. a Google Workspace work account and a Microsoft 365 account) — Katalyz will aggregate availability across all connected calendars.
Troubleshooting
"Authentication failed"
Common causes:
- Your corporate admin blocks third-party app authentication. Ask them to allow-list Katalyz.
- Your account requires MFA and the flow was interrupted. Try again.
"Calendar not showing availability"
- Confirm the calendar you want is selected (primary calendars are connected by default, but you can add secondary ones)
- Check your privacy settings — events marked "private" may not be visible to Katalyz
"Emails not appearing in rooms"
- Email threading pulls emails sent to / from participant addresses. If the email doesn't mention a buyer already in the room, it won't be linked.
