Embedding YouTube videos

YouTube videos can be embedded in any Katalyz room via the Video widget. No special integration required — just paste the URL.

Embed a YouTube video

1. Open a room section.
2. Drag the Video widget from the floating build bar at the bottom of the editor onto your page.
3. Paste the YouTube URL.
4. Save.

The video embeds inline with standard YouTube playback controls.

Supported URL formats

• https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXX
• https://youtu.be/XXX
• https://www.youtube.com/embed/XXX

Video privacy settings

• Public videos — embed freely
• Unlisted videos — embed as long as you have the link
• Private videos — cannot be embedded publicly; Katalyz rooms aren't authorized viewers

For private demos, use a private YouTube video sharing mechanism or upload directly to Katalyz.

Branded playback

YouTube's own branding (logo, suggested videos at the end) appears in the embed. If you want a cleaner, brand-controlled experience:

• Upload videos directly to Katalyz (no YouTube branding)
• Use a branded video host (Vimeo, Wistia) and embed those instead

Channel / playlist embeds

The Video widget supports single videos only — not channel or playlist URLs. For multi-video content, add one Video widget per video.
