Slack notifications — what you'll receive

Once Slack is connected, you can route Katalyz events to Slack. Here's everything you can get.

Event types that can fire Slack notifications

Settings → Notifications groups every event into six categories. Each row has three checkboxes — App, Email and Slack — so you decide per event which channels it reaches.

Dealroom Activity

Someone joined a dealroom you are in
Someone invited other people to your dealroom
Someone added a new section
Someone logged into your dealroom

Comments & Mentions

Someone mentioned you
Comment on a step you're assigned to
Comment on a task you're assigned to
Comment in your dealroom
Someone opened your comment email

Tasks & Steps

Someone assigned you to a step
Someone assigned you to a task
A step was marked as completed
A task was marked as completed

Due Dates & Deadlines

A step / a task to which you are assigned turned late
A step / a task turned late in a dealroom you own
Someone added a due date to a step / task you're assigned to
Someone edited the due date of a step / task you're assigned to

Invitations & Engagement

Someone opened your invitation email
Someone viewed the details of a step in a dealroom you own
Someone viewed the details of a task in a dealroom you own

Resources

Someone added a resource to a dealroom you own
Someone viewed a resource in a dealroom you own
Someone viewed a resource you added to a dealroom

Where notifications go

Slack notifications come from the Katalyz bot as direct messages. There's no channel-vs-DM choice per event type — everything is delivered to you via DM from the bot.

Frequency

At the top of Settings → Notifications, the Slack channel card carries its own frequency dropdown and an on/off toggle — both per user:

Instantly — each event posts as it happens
Daily digest — one grouped message

To stop Slack notifications entirely, switch the Slack channel toggle off. There is no "Never" frequency.
