Slack notifications — what you'll receive

Once Slack is connected, you can route Katalyz events to Slack. Here's everything you can get.

Event types that can fire Slack notifications

Room activity

  • User joined a room
  • User invited others
  • User added a section
  • User logged in

Invitations

  • Buyer opened invitation email

Comments & mentions

  • You were mentioned
  • Comment on a step or task you're assigned
  • Comment in a room you own

Tasks & steps

  • Step / task completed
  • You were assigned to a step / task

Due dates

  • Due date added, edited, or passed

Activity

  • Someone viewed a step's / task's details
  • Someone added, viewed, or viewed-your resource

Where notifications go

Slack notifications come from the Katalyz bot as direct messages. There's no channel-vs-DM choice per event type — everything is delivered to you via DM from the bot.

Frequency

Notification frequency is per-user (Settings → Notifications):

  • Instantly — each event posts as it happens
  • Daily — one grouped message at the end of the day
  • Never — no Slack notifications sent
