Video bubble widget

The Video bubble widget is a small, round, personal video you record on the spot from your webcam — a 30-second "hi, here's what's in this room" at the top of a page, a quick walkthrough next to a pricing table, a thank-you after a call. No upload, no editing tool: open the recorder, talk, use it.

Think of it as the Loom-style intro bubble, embedded in the room and recorded without leaving it.

How to add

  1. On the floating build bar at the bottom of the editor, open the ⌄ All widgets popover and locate Video bubble.
  2. Drag it onto the target section. It drops in as a round bubble with a Record button and an Add a caption field beneath it.

Recording

Click Record. A recorder overlay opens:

  1. Requesting camera… — your browser asks for camera and microphone access. Allow it. (If you blocked it, the overlay says "Camera access was blocked. Allow it in your browser to record.")
  2. Live preview — the hint reads Up to 5:00 · records automatically. Click Start recording.
  3. While recording, a red dot pulses and a timer shows elapsed time and time left. Click Stop whenever you're done; the recording stops by itself at the 5-minute cap.
  4. Review — the clip plays back with the prompt Looks good?. Click Use this video to keep it, or Retake to try again.

Close the overlay at any time with the ✕ in the corner.

Options

  • Caption — the Add a caption field under the bubble. One line, shown to buyers below the video ("Quick tour of the proposal — 2 min").
  • Re-record — once a video is saved, a Re-record button appears under the bubble; the new take replaces the old one.
  • Design — select the widget and use the Design chip on the selection pill for spacing, background and corners, as for any widget.

What buyers see

The bubble with a play button and the clip's length. Click to play, click again to pause. The caption sits underneath. Nothing else — no controls bar, no download.

When to use

  • Page intro — a face and a voice at the top of the first page; buyers who won't read three paragraphs will watch 40 seconds.
  • Explain a section — drop a bubble beside a pricing table or a mutual action plan and walk through it.
  • Re-engage — after a quiet week, record a short update and let the room's notifications do the rest.
  • Handoff — the CSM introduces themselves in the room before the kickoff.

Tips

  • Keep it under a minute. The cap is five minutes; the attention span isn't.
  • Write the caption as the promise, not the description: "Why we recommend the annual plan (1 min)".
  • Recording needs a webcam and microphone in the browser — on a locked-down corporate laptop, check the browser's site permissions first.
  • For a video that already exists (a Loom, a YouTube demo, an upload) use the Video widget instead; for a call recording, the Recording widget.
