Introduction to widgets
Widgets are the building blocks of every Katalyz room. Each widget does one thing well — display text, embed a video, collect a signature, attach a meeting — and is designed to look right out of the box with your branding applied.

How widgets are organized
The widget catalog is grouped by purpose:
Group | Widgets | Use for |
|---|---|---|
Content & storytelling | Text, Image, Video, Document, Link, Spacer, Bento | Narrative, media, references |
Structure & flow | Steps, Timeline | Organizing the deal's journey and milestones |
Promo & social proof | Ticker | Logo walls and announcements |
Conversion & engagement | CTA, Meeting, Signature, Recording | Actions buyers take, meeting + recording context |
Data & context | Contact, Field, Table | Structured info and references |
AI | AI block | Generate or assist with content using AI (beta — requires the AI add-on) |
Prepare for later | Placeholder | Reserve space for content coming later — a "drop your logo here" / "pricing TBD" slot |
Adding a widget
- Open the room — by default you're in edit mode and can already select and tweak existing widgets directly. To add new widgets, drag from the floating build bar at the bottom of the editor (primary widgets row, or the ⌄ All widgets popover for less-common types).
- Drag a widget from the catalog onto the target section.
- Configure its content inline (or in its config panel for widgets with options).
Every widget can be:
- Reordered (drag).
- Duplicated — select the widget, click the ⋮ More chip on the selection pill, then Duplicate.
- Deleted — same path: selection pill → ⋮ More → Delete.
Which widget when?
The rest of this section and the next four section groups cover each widget individually. Browse by purpose — or just open the picker in a room and explore.
