Downloading documents
You can download any document embedded in a Katalyz room — PDFs, decks, spreadsheets, anything the sender has shared.
How to download
From a Document block
Most documents are shown in a preview (you can read them inline without downloading). To save a local copy, look for the download icon (⬇️) — usually at the top-right of the preview.

Click it, and the file downloads to your computer.
From an embedded link
Some documents are linked rather than embedded. Click the link; depending on the file type and your browser, it'll either download or open in a new tab.
From a signed envelope
After signing a document, you're emailed a copy of the sealed PDF. Open the email and save the attachment.
You can also re-download anytime from the Signature block in the room — it shows "Download signed document" once completed.
What you can download
- PDFs, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX — standard office documents
- Images — PNG, JPG, SVG
- Videos — where the sender has enabled download (often preview-only)
- ZIP archives — if the sender shared one
- CSVs — data files
Some content is view-only by design (proprietary info, pricing tables rendered inline, etc.). In those cases, there's no download option — let the sender know if you need it downloadable.
Signed documents and legal records
For anything you signed, always download a local copy once it's completed. The sealed PDF is your proof of execution, and storing it locally means you don't depend on continued Katalyz access to access it.
