I didn't receive the email

You were told a Katalyz email is coming, but it hasn't arrived. Here's how to find it.

Step 1 — Check spam and filtered folders

The most common cause by a wide margin. Look in:

  • Spam / Junk folder
  • Gmail "Promotions" tab (not the main inbox)
  • Outlook "Other" tab (not "Focused")
  • Your email client's "Archived" or "All Mail" view

The email comes from either no-reply@katalyz.co or your sender's branded subdomain (e.g. notifications.theircompany.com). Search your inbox for "katalyz" to find any match.

Step 2 — Check the right inbox

If the room was shared with your work email, make sure you're looking at the work inbox — not a personal one. If you use multiple addresses, search across all of them.

Step 3 — Wait a minute, then check again

Email is usually instant but can occasionally take a minute or two. Refresh the inbox.

Step 4 — Corporate filter may be blocking it

If you're on a strict corporate email system (Proofpoint, Mimecast, Microsoft Defender for Office 365), the email may be quarantined before it hits your inbox.

Options:

  • Check your quarantine / held messages — many corporate systems have a UI where you can see and release held emails
  • Ask your IT team to allow-list emails from @katalyz.co (or the sender's Katalyz subdomain)
  • Ask the sender to share the link through another channel (Slack, Teams, SMS)

Step 5 — Request a resend

If the sender is available, ask them to re-send the invitation or code from Katalyz — you'll get a fresh email.

Step 6 — Try a different verification

If the room uses magic code verification and the email simply won't arrive:

  • Try entering your email again (sometimes a retry works)
  • Ask the sender to change the access setting to Anyone with the link temporarily
  • Ask the sender to set you up as an authorized email via a different address you have access to

Step 7 — Still nothing?

Contact Katalyz support at contact@katalyz.co with:

  • The email address you used
  • Roughly when you tried to access
  • The sender's name or company

We can look up the delivery log on our side and see if the email was actually sent, delivered, or blocked.

Preventing this in the future

If you're often receiving Katalyz emails:

  • Add @katalyz.co to your safe sender list in your email client
  • Ask IT to globally allow-list Katalyz-branded senders if your company uses it frequently
