Opening your Katalyz link
Someone sent you a Katalyz room. Here's exactly how to open it — and what to expect.
You don't need an account
First, the good news: there's nothing to install, no account to create, and no password to remember. Katalyz is designed so you can access the content instantly.
Open the link
You received an email or a direct link. Click it. You'll land on the room.
The room looks and feels like a website. Move between pages with the tabs in the header, explore content in the main area, and use any widgets (CTAs, forms, etc.) as you'd expect. You might be asked to identify yourself
Depending on how the room was shared, you'll see one of four things:
1. Straight in
You're in immediately. You clicked your personal invitation link, so Katalyz already knows who you are.
2. The login page — email only
A page with the sender's logo and yours: Join the conversation. — "Enter your email to step inside." Type your Work email and click Continue. That's it — no name, no role, no password. On a later visit the page greets you with Welcome back.
If the sender limited the room to specific people or companies (Only authorized users), your email has to match their list or your company's domain; otherwise ask the sender to add you.
3. Email plus a 6-digit code
For rooms set to Access code verification, a second screen — Check your inbox. — asks for the code Katalyz just emailed you. See Access code verification: step by step.
4. "This space is on hold"
Occasionally a room is paused because the sender's Katalyz subscription lapsed: "{Sender} needs an active Katalyz subscription to reopen this space." Click Request access — the sender is told you're waiting (Request sent) and can reopen the room.
Introduce yourself (optional)
About a minute after you enter, a small card asks Mind introducing yourself? — "So the team knows who's in the room. Optional." Fill in your first name, last name and job title and click Save, or click Not now. You can add it later from your avatar in the top bar (Complete your profile).
Bookmark it
Once you're in, bookmark the URL. You can come back anytime — no login required (as long as the browser keeps you signed in).
If you switch browsers or devices, you'll enter your email again (and a new code if the room uses one), and then you're back in.
What the sender can see
Katalyz tracks room activity — your email, the name you chose to share, what you viewed, and for how long. This is normal and expected: the whole point of a deal room is that the sender knows what's useful to you and what isn't.
This is not unique to Katalyz — any portal, shared drive, or deal room tool tracks the same.
