Link widget

Use the Link widget to embed any web-hosted resource via its URL — an article, a Notion page, a Figma file, a Loom video, a SaaS dashboard, a live demo environment. Anything that lives at a URL.


Why a dedicated widget? Mental shortcut. Many users think "I have a link" rather than "I have a video that happens to live at a URL". The Link widget matches that intent — paste a URL, get a nicely framed embed, move on.



How to add


  1. On the floating build bar at the bottom of the editor, click or drag Link — it sits in the primary widgets row.
  2. Drop it onto the target section.
  3. The Add link picker opens automatically, with three tabs — New (paste the URL and, optionally, a Label), From this room, and From library.
  4. Set the layout and captions from the selection pill (see below).


If you leave the Label empty, it defaults to a readable name derived from the URL (the last path segment, or the host). You can change it any time from Edit content.



Click the link to select it. The pill mirrors the Image widget pill, plus an S / M / L layout group:


  1. Ask AI (gradient AI mark) — start an AI thread anchored on this link.
  2. Open (expand icon) — opens the URL in a new tab.
  3. S / M / L — three layout buttons; the active one is highlighted. They also set the block's width and height.
  4. Edit content (settings icon) — opens the Resource details popup with the link's URL, label, captions and the Replace link action (see below).
  5. Design (paint bucket icon) — opens the contextual Design panel (Layout & corners / Spacing / Background / Border / Effects).
  6. ⋮ More — Duplicate · Delete.


There is no Dark-mode or Expand-on-click chip. In the rendered room, clicking a link card opens the URL in a new tab.



S / M / L


The layout buttons control how the link preview and its text are arranged:


  • S — compact row: a link icon alongside the label and the URL. Good for a link-list of references.
  • M — a preview panel alongside the label (side-by-side).
  • L — a large preview card (hero look — great for case-study links with a quote).


Edit content — the Resource details popup


Open via the settings icon on the pill. Same fields as the Image / Video / Document widgets, plus the URL:


  • URL — the destination (links are the only resource type that expose this here).
  • Label — the link's title, shown inside the card (always displayed, so there's no Shown / Hidden switch on it).
  • Description (optional) — a short secondary line, with a Shown / Hidden switch.
  • Add a quote — quote text (with a Shown / Hidden switch), author name, author photo.
  • Replace link — reopens the picker so you can swap the URL without losing your captions or design settings.
  • Cancel / Save.



When swapping to a new URL for a new deal, replace the URL inside the existing widget instead of deleting and re-adding. All design settings and caption content stay intact.



  • Link widget — reference material or a secondary resource. Usually paired with a preview.
  • CTA widget — a styled call-to-action the buyer should click (book a meeting, sign, download a specific file).


Use Link for reference; CTA for conversion.
