Brand assets — tagline, logo, icon
Your workspace branding is what makes a Katalyz room feel like your product, not a generic portal. Buyers notice. Here's how to set it up.
⚠️ Requires org role Admin. Go to Settings → Branding to configure.
What brand assets cover
The Brand Assets section of Branding settings handles three things:
- Tagline — a short phrase that describes your company
- Logo — the full workspace logo (rectangular, for headers and footers)
- Icon — the square icon version of your brand (for avatars, tabs, and compact places)
Tagline
Today the tagline is only used in the footer of Katalyz emails sent from your workspace (invitations, notifications). It will soon also appear in the default room banner.
It isn't shown anywhere else in the product yet.
Keep it short. 5–10 words. "Sales deal rooms that close faster." "The modern buyer experience platform." etc.
Logo
The full logo is your brand's primary visual identity. Uploaded once, used automatically in:
- Room headers (top bar / left menu)
- Workspace dashboard
- Invitation and notification emails
- Any place where a large brand mark is appropriate
Best practices:
- SVG or high-resolution PNG (min 400px on the longest side)
- Transparent background — so it looks clean over any color
- Optimized for light backgrounds by default — if your brand has dark themes, upload a version that works on white
Icon
The square icon is used where the full logo is too wide — avatars, browser tabs, condensed headers. Think "favicon" plus Katalyz UI.
Best practices:
- Square, ideally 400×400 or larger
- Simple — the icon is often rendered at 20–40 pixels
- High contrast — readable even small and monochrome
The difference between workspace branding and room branding
- Workspace branding (here) — tagline, seller logo, icon. These are workspace-wide and cannot be overridden per room.
- Per-room theme — today, only the color palette can be overridden on a specific room. See Per-room theme.
- Prospect logo — for co-branding, add a buyer's logo per room. It's a separate per-room asset (not a theme override). See Prospect logo.
Set up your workspace branding well, and the per-room overrides become the rare exception, not the rule.
Updating mid-flight
Brand changes apply to every room immediately, including live rooms your buyers are currently in. For risk-free updates:
- Make the change in Settings → Branding.
- Open a live room and preview as a buyer.
- If anything looks off (contrast, cropping), adjust.
