AI settings
AI settings is where admins shape how the Katalyz assistant behaves for the whole workspace: the background it should always know, how it writes executive summaries and scores deal health, and how credits may be spent.
⚠️ Requires org role Admin. Go to Settings → Workspace → AI settings.

AI context
Give the assistant background it should always know about.
- Context & instructions — free text the assistant reads before every answer and generation. Describe what you sell, who your buyers are, what to always mention and the tone to keep. Example: "We sell B2B onboarding software. Our buyers are RevOps leaders. Always reference our security certifications and keep a confident, concise tone."
- Knowledge files — click Upload files to add documents the assistant can draw from: decks, one-pagers, security docs, battle cards. PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD — up to 20 MB each. Each uploaded file is listed with its size; remove one with the trash icon.
This context applies to everything: room and template generation, Ask AI conversations, suggestions, Home page flows.
Analysis prompts
Shape the two analyses the assistant runs on every room. Leave a prompt empty to use Katalyz's default.
- Executive summary prompt — how the room summary should be written: what to emphasise, length, tone. Example: "Three short paragraphs: where the deal stands, what the buyer has engaged with, and the next step we need from them. Name the stakeholders involved." The summary is shown in each room's Activity tab and synced to your CRM as the Katalyz AI executive summary field.
- Health score prompt — what the assistant should weigh when scoring a room's health: engagement signals, stakeholder coverage, overdue actions, deal-specific risks. Example: "Weight decision-maker activity in the last 7 days most. Penalise overdue mutual-action-plan items and rooms with a single buyer contact." Synced to your CRM as Katalyz health score.
See Opening the Activity tab and CRM field mapping.
AI credits
Control how many AI credits each member can spend per month.
- Cap credits per user / month — off by default: members draw from the shared workspace balance with no per-user limit. Turn it on to set a Monthly cap per user (500 by default).
- Low-balance alert — on by default. Without a cap, admins are notified when the workspace balance drops below 10%. With a cap, each member is notified when they have less than 10% of their monthly cap left.
The balance itself, and buying more, live in Plan & Billing — see How credits work.
Saving
Changes aren't live until you click Save changes in the bar that appears at the bottom ("You have unsaved changes"). Cancel restores the last saved version.
What is not a workspace setting
There is no workspace-wide AI model quality. The quality level (Fast / Balanced / Maximum) is chosen by each member at the moment they generate a room or template, and priced accordingly. See Generating a room with AI.
