Templates
What is a template?
Katalyz has two kinds of templates — both let your team reuse what already works: Room templates — a full pre-built room (pages + sections + widgets + design). Use when you want to start a new room from a proven structure. Section templates (micro-templates) — a reusable section you can drop into any existing room from the + Add section popover on the floating build bar (under the From a template tab). Your templates aren't frozen — they should evolve as your messaging, pricing, and playbook change. Here's how to keep them fresh. ⚠️ Requires org role Admin or Pro (Pro users can only edit templates they created). Not every room should be a template. Too many templates creates decision fatigue — your reps spend more time picking a template than building the room. Here's how to decide. A room is a good template candidate if... You send this kind of room regularly (at least once a month across the team) The structure is mostly the same every time — same sections, same rough content flow The best version of it is already built — you have a room where the structure, copy, and design actFew readersSection templates (micro-templates)
Section templates — sometimes called micro-templates — are reusable pieces smaller than a whole room. You save a section from one room as a template, then drop it into any other room from the + Add section popover on the floating build bar. If a room template is the equivalent of a full document, a section template is a saved paragraph or chapter you reuse. A synced section template is a section template that stays linked to its source when you drop it into a room. Edit the source once, and every room using the synced version updates automatically. It's the opposite of the default behavior, where a section template is dropped as a copy that lives its own life from then on. Built for evergreen content you maintain in one place — pricing, legal clauses, your team intro, an "about us" section — and want consistent across every room.Few readers
Content Library
What is the content library?
The content library is your workspace's shared pool of reusable files, links, and media — case studies, decks, demo videos, research reports, competitor intelligence. Anything your team uses across multiple rooms. Why a library (and not just templates)? Templates and the library solve different problems. The library is only useful if your reps actually pull from it. Here's how to drop library content into a room. Insert a library item Open a room and scroll to the section where you want the content. A library with 8 items is easy. A library with 80 needs structure — or reps can't find what they need and go build from scratch anyway. Here's how to scale yours. ⚠️ Requires org role Admin or Pro to edit tags and item metadata. Tags — the main organizing tool Katalyz doesn't use folders. The entire library is one flat, searchable list, and tags are how you organize it. Good tagging is the difference between a useful library and a useless one. A stale library is worse than no library — reps lose trust and build from scratch anyway. Here's how to keep yours in working order. Who owns the library? Assign a library owner — usually someone in Sales Enablement, RevOps, or Product Marketing. They don't write all the content, but they're accountable for quality. Without an owner, the library rots. With one, it compounds. Update a library item Click Library in the left sidebar. Click the item you want to update. UpFew readers
